The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program at the University of Rwanda has officially opened its scholarship applications for the 2025/2026 academic year. This opportunity is available to qualified students who meet the eligibility criteria, and the University wishes to emphasize that the entire application process is completely free of charge.
In response to recent reports of individuals charging applicants for help with the application process, the University warns against using any unauthorized paid services. Such practices go against the Program’s values of equity, transparency, and integrity.
Prospective applicants are urged to complete their applications independently by following the official guidelines available on the University of Rwanda website. Any questions or need for support should be directed to the designated support team listed in the official call for applications—not to third-party service providers.
Applications are to be submitted online only. To access the detailed call for applications and the scholarship portal link, students should visit the Announcements section of the University of Rwanda’s official website.
